The Assistant Practioner (Health) Apprenticeship at Keele University has been designed to develop Radiography Practitioners who can provide excellent patient centred care and respond to the diverse and challenging healthcare environment. There is currently high demand for skilled, qualified health care professionals due to a significant shortage of Diagnostic Radiographers in the UK healthcare sector. The Assistant Practitioner (Health) Apprenticeship offers current practitioners the opportunity to gain additional skills and knowledge to become a Registered Radiographer. The programme offers a blended learning approach with a mixture of on-the-job learning, online teaching and an in-situ day every six weeks utilising the specialised Radiography Suite and Image Analysis Digital Health Hub at Keele University.
