Have you ever wanted to become a software developer? Once you start to learn your first programming language, learning other languages becomes easier.

In this 1-day “hands on” session, we introduce you some basic programming concepts using the Python language, which is used in web frameworks like Django.

You will practice how to

– use a programming environment and set it up.

– represent real world data as variables and simple data types.

– use conditional loops and understand when to use them.

– create a function to avoid the repetition of code.

– structure your code into classes.

This session can be run at selected locations or online.

For this hands-on session, we encourage you to bring your own laptop and have internet access. You will need to download and install Visual Studio Code and Python software on your machine.
