As a Funeral Mortuary Technician apprentice, learn how to care for the deceased with

dignity and respect, preparing, dressing, and encoffining them in line with religious and

cultural practices. Working in funeral organisations, you

will develop practical skills in mortuary operations, infection control, and documentation.

Collaborate with a wide range of professionals including funeral directors, embalmers, and

bereavement services, gaining the confidence to support grieving families and uphold the

highest standards of care in this sensitive and rewarding profession.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by your own Connect2Care Vocational Trainer,

with regular face-to-face and online sessions. We’re also specialists in English and maths –

we’ll assess your needs and give you tailored support if you need a boost.
