The Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work within the finance department of a business. Following completion of this apprenticeship, could look forward to a career as an Assistant Accountant, Trainee Accounting Technician, Accounts Clerk, Cashier, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk or Sales Ledger Clerk.

You will expand on your understanding of both financial and management accounting. You will learn how IT systems support the accounting process, and you will develop your understanding of business strategies and basic tax principles and processes, such as, VAT. You will also learn how to produce final accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
