LST’s are dual professionals, having achieved competence in a vocation or subject and then subsequently looked to train as a teacher. LST’s may teach in an educational setting or in a workplace and could be based in private or industry training, further, adult or higher education as well as offender learning, healthcare settings or the voluntary sectors.
